Caliwater cactus water is the original plant-based water powered by the prickly pear superfruit.
Caliwater is made from 100% natural, not from concentrate, prickly pear purée, with no added colours or preservatives. The drink contains zero fat, and has fewer calories and less sugar (only 2.7g per 100ml) than most coconut water and aloe juice products.
The succulent superfruit in Caliwater is hand-picked from centuries-old prickly pear (Opuntia) plants that grow in the desert regions of California and Mexico. Caliwater has a direct relationship with local harvesters who safely, legally and fairly source the cactus fruits in the intense heat of late summer.
Drinking Caliwater naturally hydrates your skin. The prickly pear cactus bears the only fruit to contain all 24 known betalain antioxidants. First discovered in beetroot (although the prickly pear superfruit contains double the amount), betalains are rare and potent antioxidants.
Additionally, Caliwater delivers 5 naturally-occurring electrolytes (potassium, magnesium, calcium, sodium and phosphorous) to support hydration, locking in the skin’s moisture and protecting it from dryness.
As well as that, the prickly pear cactus extract in Caliwater (60mg per 100ml) has been shown through clinical trials to relieve the symptoms of a hangover (Tulane Health Sciences Center, Dr. Jeff Wiese, 2004).
